Excited fans thronged theatres and multiplexes in cities across India on the first day of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. Moviegoers turned up for the first show, some of them still fighting sleep. While some had skipped work, many others planned to reach office a little late, after having secured an answer to the question that has for long remained within the realm of intense speculation: Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali?
However, in Chennai, those who turned up early at theatres were left disappointed , as planned shows were cancelled at the last minute. According to an India Today report, the morning shows of Baahubali 2 were cancelled in Chennai as the financial settlement between K Productions (distributors of Baahubali 2 in Tamil) and producers is yet to be settled.
