“No individual has been given the right to kill people in the name of Gau Raksha,” stated Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu in an exclusive interview to The Quint’s Editorial Director Sanjay Pugalia.

In the recent past, a few incident of attacks on individuals by cow vigilantes have emerged from across the country. Naidu said that if someone is “hurting or slaughtering a cow, it must be reported to the nearest law enforcement agency”.

You have no right to attack people. This has been said by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and is also our party’s stand. Such incidents are wrong and we condemn them.

Naidu also went on to say that the actions undertaken by organisations like Hindu Mahasabha and Hindu Yuva Vahini have nothing to do with the BJP.
