The brass city of India – Moradabad – has been hit by demonetisation woes. The turnover of the city’s brassware industry, which exports products across the world, is estimated to be around Rs 8,000 crore per year. But the number has significantly dropped, and so have the people employed in the industry.

With craftsmen being forced to opt out of the profession and even move out to make a living, the electoral mood in this part of the Uttar Pradesh is all charged up.

Will the charm of the yuva netas of the SP-Congress alliance sway the voters in their favour? Will Behen ji’s BSP emerge victorious? Or will the Modi factor help the BJP bag the major chunk of votes?
