Two separate incidents of robbery occurred in Banda, Uttar Pradesh on 13 August 2018. Two people reportedly robbed two truck drivers, while in a separate incident, a cashier was shot at by bike-borne assailants when he resisted their attempt to rob him.
One of the truck drivers said that the robbers “stole around Rs 1,200 from us and threatened to kill us if we protested. Of course, they could have been the same people who shot the cashier.”
The cashier was admitted to a hospital where he is undergoing treatment. The police are investigating if there is a connection between the two cases.
Accroding to ANI, this is reportedly the third incident of robbery to occur in Banda in 24 hours.
