Visibly upset over the lack of an operational airport for civilian use on his home turf – Kota, the Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Bhawani Rajawat on Monday declared that he won’t let Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s plane land in the Rajasthan city till such time as an airport is constructed in the district.
Taking a jibe at the Centre’s decision to open a passport office in the region , the controversial lawmaker added that his region needs an airport, not passports. He had earlier courted controversy by saying that he had prior information on the government’s controversial but secret ‘demonetisation move’ that had stunned the nation by its sudden announcement.
