Tamil actors Prakash Raj and Vishal visited Tamil Nadu farmers who have been protesting at Jantar Mantar using skulls and offered their support.
Meeting the farmers in the national capital, Prakash Raj said, "Despite facing all odds, they are not getting a higher support price for their produce. How will they survive?"
Director Pandiraj also offered his support to the farmers.
Speaking to reporters, Pandiraj accused the governments of ignoring the hardship of farmers."Governments are highly condemnable for keeping farmers in such poor plight," he said.
The farmers on Friday intensified the agitation by begging with bowls and sleeping on road after abandoning the enclosures allotted to them.
"Though the Centre had announced funds to the tune of Rs 1,500 crores, it is not sufficient for the damages occurred," said a farmer representative.
The farmers have been protesting for the eleventh day raising several demands to mitigate their sufferings in the drought hit state.
