Punjab minister Navjot Singh Sidhu condemned the Modi government over Pulwama, unemployment, Rafale deal and more while addressing the media in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
Sidhu slammed the Modi government for politicising the Pulwama attack that took place on 14 February to benefit his party during elections. He also alleged that it was ‘intelligence failure’ that led to the ghastly blast in Pulwama resulting in the death of 40 CRPF jawans.
Sidhu also said that the prime minister was advertising with Jio which made profits worth Rs 900 crore a year, while the government-owned BSNL was suffering an annual loss of Rs 8,000 crore.
Taking a jibe at PM Modi’s claim that he is the ‘chowkidar’ of the government, Sidhu said:
He also questioned that if there was black money in circulation in India, then how did 99.7 percent currency came back to the government (after demonetisation)?
The Congress leader also took a jibe at PM Modi’s ‘Main Bhi Chowkidar’ campaign.
He said, “The world is progressing, China is constructing rail lines under the sea, America is finding life on Mars, Russia is developing a robotic army and you (BJP) are making chowkidars, that too who are thieves.”
Chhattisgarh is voting across first three phases on 11, 18 and 23 April.
