The Uttarakhand State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) is helping kanwarias in state's Tharaili after a heavy rainfall deluged the region.

In a video shared by news agency ANI, uniformed SDRF men were seen helping 'kanwarias' on bikes cross a flooded region. This comes after reports of lawlessness and violence by 'kanwarias' in different parts of the country.

Previously, several bureaucrats and top cops welcomed kanwars in Meerut by showering rose petals on them from a helicopter.

Earlier on Thursday, in Delhi’s Moti Nagar, a group of Kanwars were caught on camera vandalising a car after the driver allegedly brushed past one of them.

Similarly in UP’s Bulandshahr, after a scuffle with a youth, few Kanwariyas vandalised a police car when they tried to intervene.
