One Dead, Several Injured After Sadhvi Fires Celebratory Shots
The Sadhvi and her men fled the spot even before the police could arrive.

One person died in celebratory firing lead by controversial Hindu Mahasabha Leader Sadhvi Deva Thakur in Haryana’s Karnal on Tuesday.
Shortly after Thakur arrived at the ring ceremony, her armed guards started firing celebratory shots in the air. Footage from the ceremony also shows the saffron-clad sadhvi holding a pistol. Eyewitnesses say that the victims were injured, after a bullet fired from the Sadhvi’s pistol hit them. She had lowered her gun after it stopped working and she wrestled with its functions.
The group fled the spot and police are yet to make any arrests in the case.
