Over 200 students from across the country came together at the grand final of the 7th Indian Robotics Competition held in Gurugram on Saturday. Organised by Avishkaar, a technology startup, the competition was divided into three sections, junior, middle and senior.
While at the Junior level, students were required to perform minor tasks with their robots, those at the middle and senior level had to transform their little machines into agents of afforestation and waste management respectively.
Apart from the thrill of operating mini robots, students pointed out that it was a great learning experience for all of them.
Currently in its 7th edition, IRC has come a long way from the initial team of 16 schools. The winning team of the latest episode will earn a sponsored trip to China, where they will compete with students from Bangladesh, Maldives and Singapore.
