At a poll rally in Gujarat’s Chhota Udepur district, Congress Vice President, Rahul Gandhi, promised loan waiver for the poor farmers of Gujarat.
The Quint’s reporter found out that voters present in the rally have faith in Gandhi’s promise. They were sure that if the Congress comes to power, Rahul Gandhi would waive loans for farmers in distress.
He said his party came out with a manifesto after consulting various sections of the society, such as the tribal communities, women and youth, and incorporated their demands.
“Modi ji used to say that the BJP will rule in Gujarat for the next hundred years. But he does not say a single word about the future of Gujarat at his rallies,” the Congress leader added.
Voting for 89 seats of Saurashtra and south Gujarat will be held today, while that for 93 seats of north and central Gujarat, including Chhota Udepur, will be held on December 14.
