Congress President Rahul Gandhi addressed a public rally in Raipur, Chhattisgarh after he inaugurated Congress’ new office there. With the Chhattisgarh state legislature elections in sight, Gandhi left no stone unturned when it came to attacking the BJP-led NDA government and Prime Minister Modi.

From the alleged Rafale scam to corruption and the increase in rapes across the nation, Gandhi covered it all. By the end of it, he promised the people of Raipur that Congress would come to power, and stand up for the rights of farmers, labourers, and women.

Here are some of the things that he said:

On the Rafale Deal: 'Chowkidaar' has become 'Bhaagidaar'

Narendra Modi stole the contract from HAL himself and gave it to one of his friends, someone whose name we all know. I asked the Defence Minister in Parliament about why she lied to the nation. She never answered. When I said the same to Narendra Modi, he couldn’t look me in the eye. Why? Because ‘chowkidaar’ has become ‘bhaagidaar’.

‘No Investigation When CM’s Son Appeared in Panama Papers’

When Nawaz Sharif’s name came up in Panama Papers the Pakistan government arrested him. But in Chhattisgarh, when your own chief minister’s son’s name appears, no investigation takes place.

'Make the rich richer by making the poor poorer'

I want to tell the shopkeepers and small- and medium-scale businessmen of Chhattisgarh that all the money which is being snatched from your pockets, is being used to clear the debts of some of the richest people in the country.

‘Why Doesn’t the PM Say a Word on the Rapes?’

When there is a rape in Uttar Pradesh where a BJP MLA himself has committed the crime, why is Narendra Modi silent? When little girls are raped in Bihar, why doesn’t the Prime Minister say a single word?

Gandhi concluded his attack by saying that PM Modi had let everybody down one by one.
