Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Thursday accused BJP governments at the Centre and in Uttar Pradesh of re-inaugurating projects launched by the previous UPA dispensation in his Lok Sabha constituency Amethi.
He was having an informal chat with newspersons in Tiloi, on the second day of his three-day visit here.
Giving details of the works done by him, the Congress MP mentioned projects like a hospital worth Rs 90 crore, FM radio, sainik school, Rajiv Gandhi aviation university at Fursatganj and Institute of Hotel Management.
"These are our works," he asserted.
Attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi again, Gandhi said:
On Wednesday, Gandhi criticised the Modi government over the issue of unemployment and farmers' problems.
On a visit to his Lok Sabha constituency Amethi, Rahul said the prime minister should say if he is unable to address the problems like unemployment and the Congress will come and do it in six months.
"The youth of the country feel they are not getting opportunity to work for the nation...their anger is increasing and...the farmers are committing suicide", he said.
Blaming the BJP for ignoring schemes like food park and others projects meant for the development of Amethi, he said, "It is unfortunate that the BJP has harmed the interest of people of Amethi...this is wrong. Their (BJP's) thinking is like this only...but I will fight for you all".
Referring to schemes such as ‘Make in India’ and start-up campaigns, Rahul said these will have no meaning if there is no talk about 'Make in Amethi' and 'Make in UP'.
