In yet another case of government apathy in Odisha, a pregnant woman was carried to the hospital on a makeshift bamboo shaft. The distressing footage comes from Kansabundel village in Trilochanpur, where the family members and villagers were forced to carry the women for 16 km to the Ambulance. The Ambulance could not reach the village because of a tree that fell on the road the night before due to heavy rains. There was no other way for the vehicle to reach the village.

The video surfaces days after a similar incident was reported in Rayagada, where a woman was carried on a stretcher across the river. The Ambulance could not reach the village due to poor road conditions.
