At least 200 students were hospitalised on Saturday after they complained of irritation in the eyes due to gas leakage from a container depot near their school in southeast Delhi's Tughlakabad area.

The Delhi government has ordered a magisterial probe into the incident.

A call was received around 7:35 AM about the gas leakage and seven fire-tenders were rushed to the spot, said a senior officer from Delhi Fire Services, adding that the source of the leak was not clear.

“Around 200 students are admitted in four nearby hospitals. It has been said that they are no longer affected. They are being handed over to their parents,” says DCP Romil Baniya while speaking to ANI.
