For more than six minutes, over 200 people stayed completely stationary to complete an epic mannequin challenge on a South African Beach.

Calvin Munhuweyi, a photographer and professional filmmaker from Cape Town organised the entire act and ran around the beach to single-handedly record the visual spectacle. Calvin and his friend, Richard Haubrichput out invites on Social Media and asked people to gather at the city’s Camps Bay beach.

It was an insanely weird experience to be the only one moving on the beach. Running on the beach was something I didn’t think of until one minute into the shoot. I filmed the beach scene in one take and then I made my way across the road and nearly got hit by a car before I went into the restaurant.

The people on the beach synced their watches and everybody froze at 3 pm. Various poses are seen- from beach goers clicking selfies to even a couple indulging in a passionate kiss. The video is almost too good to be believe, but the television running in the restaurant’s background proves its authenticity.
