This is the hilarious moment when an owner tests his cats’ devotion by playing dead and is stumped when the pet does exactly the same.
Cory Williams attempts testing how his much-loved pet cats – Sparta and Loki – would react if he was seriously ill. Williams falls to the ground faking an illness at home in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA.
Sparta, who is the star of the viral video ‘The Mean Kitty Song’, slowly starts to investigate, while Loki sits on the stairs when Williams pretends to fall on the floor.
After some very cursory sniffs of William’s hands and fingers, Sparta quickly becomes bored and lies down next to the sofa and closes his eyes.
Even after his owner sits up and asks ,‘Really dude?’, the carefree cat simply rolls over on to his back and dozes off again.
Williams said that he just wanted to test what Sparta would do if he dropped dead one day or fell ill. He said that he held his breath as long as he could. He was aware that Sparta would be able to hear his heart beat.
Sparta did come to check on Williams and sniffed and nudged him; when Williams did not react for sometime, the cat just left and sat next to him.
Williams expected Sparta to either lay on him and meow for help.
(The Quint, in association with BitGiving, has launched a crowdfunding campaign for an 8-month-old who was raped in Delhi on 28 January 2018. The baby girl, who we will refer to as 'Chhutki', was allegedly raped by her 28-year-old cousin when her parents were away. She has been discharged from AIIMS hospital after undergoing three surgeries, but needs more medical treatment in order to heal completely. Her parents hail from a low-income group and have stopped going to work so that they can take care of the baby. You can help cover Chhutki's medical expenses and secure her future. Every little bit counts. Click here to donate.)
