Two engineering students in Karnataka's Kalaburagi district have created a 'bluetooth enabled route guiding helmet'. The students Yogesh and Abhijeet, studying in PDA College, are in the fourth semester of their engineering course.
The product has been designed as an effort to help encourage helmets while riding on the roads. It helps people navigate and not get lost when in a new city with no one to guide.
In terms of usage, the helmet is extremely user-friendly and harmless and works exactly like OK Google voice commands in the mobile phones.
One of the most striking features of the helmet is its inbuilt Bluetooth speaker, which the students claim is harmless. They added that the user will have to connect their phone through bluetooth, which will navigate them with the help of Google maps.
Yogesh also claimed that the helmet has a cooling sheath attached to the screen of the helmet which is ideal for night vision and prevents accidents by refracting the light that comes from other vehicles.
The students said the cost of the helmet is Rs 1500.
