Notable actor Kamal Haasan on Tuesday sought to make a strong case for regulating the practice of Jallikattu instead of placing it under a blanket ban. Addressing a press conference in Chennai, Haasan said that a ban on the controversial bull-taming sport was unfair, as the animal is also slaughtered for meat.
Haasan also questioned the need for organisations like PETA, when several departments have been set up by the government for the welfare of animals.
