Dogs are indeed a man's best friend and this K9 pooch stole the hearts of not just the Madrid police, but also over 1.7 million people on the internet as he practices CPR on his “fallen” comrade.
Madrid police shared a video on their Twitter showcasing Poncho’s impressive feat at a training event.
The video went viral on social media since it was uploaded with everyone showering praise and awws on the K9.
Madrid police's Twitter caption read:
The video shows one of the cops pretending to fall down dramatically and lay there without moving. Almost immediately, Poncho runs to the rescue and tries to wake him up. When that doesn't work, he starts jumping on his chest imitating the motion of a CPR.
Then he places his ear next to the cop's mouth to check if he's breathing, before going back to performing CPR.
In what is being termed as a "noble", "selfless" and "masterful" act, this doggo certainly deserves a round of applause.
However, according to a report in the Washington Post, experts aren’t convinced that the dog was actually trained to perform CPR, since the technique requires precision and strength.
