There’s more to Goa than just sandy beaches and liquor shacks. Loutolim village in South Goa is surrounded by paddy fields. The Indo-European architecture style houses and mansions here reflect the history of Goa when it was a Portuguese Colony until 1961.
The Figueiredo family made their first house here in 1590s, and a second part of the house, 200 years later. Three generations of the family live here with their own connection and legacy. They’ve been taking care of the house and guiding tourists around.
We hope their legacy lives on for as long as possible.
