Newly-elected President of the Congress Party, Rahul Gandhi, on Monday, lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not focussing on the state of Gujarat during his speeches. While addressing a rally at Banaskantha, he said “Now Modiji speaks about Afghanistan, China, Pakistan, and Japan. Modiji, this is the election about the future of Gujarat. Please talk about Gujarat also.”
Gandhi who took over the Congress party from his mother, Sonia Gandhi criticised the Prime Minister for dedicating his recent speeches to the Congress and to himself.
Targeting PM Narendra Modi, he said that Modi’s economic model in poll-bound Gujarat has helped only a few industrialists and not the poor sections of the society. He accused the BJP of stealing water and electricity from the people and lending it to the Tata Nano factories.
