Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi embarked on his three-day Yuva Rojgar Khedut Adhikaar Navsarjan Yatra from Ahmedabad, Gujarat on 9 October 2017. This is the second phase of the Congress VP’s proposed four-phase Gujarat tour to cover all regions of the state prior to the assembly elections scheduled for later this year.
Addressing people displaced by the construction of the Sardar Sarovar Dam on Narmada river, Rahul Gandhi said that if elected to power, the Congress government will bring about change people have been waiting for 22 years within six months.
Did Narendra Modiji give you Narmada water? He must have given it to someone. He gave your water to Gujarat’s 5-10 people. He took away your land and did not give any compensation. He beat you people and took your water and gave it 5-10 rich people in Gujarat. This is ‘Gujarat Model.’
