Days after Border Security Force jawan Tej Bahadur spoke out about poor facilities and living conditions in the barracks, a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan has made an appeal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In a selfie video, the jawan describes the pressures of his work and how they are deployed for every event, big or small.

These are the points he makes in the video:

  • Government school teachers get decent salaries and leaves during festival time. But the CRPF is deployed in conflict zones, without welfare or holidays.
  • The Indian Army gets pension. The CRPF personnel are no longer eligible for pension, ex-serviceman quota, canteen facilities or medical care, despite the intense work they put in.

The jawan said he has faith that the Prime Minister will be listening.
