Four-year-old Evie Doherty in London was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy. The disease is fatal and has made Evie suffer three strokes. By the age of three, she needed a new heart. Her mother sums up how the ordeal was like:
Obviously, such an awful situation to be in because
your child is really sick and you are inevitably waiting to hear for
somebody’s tragic fate that can give our child a life while
someone else’s was coming to an end.
