Eid-ul-Fitr marks the end of the holy month of Ramzan. In Delhi, Eid congregations were held at the Jama Masjid, Fatehpuri Masjid and Shahi Eidgah. Elaborate security arrangements were put in place for the occasion.

Darjeeling witnessed muted Eid celebrations this year, with the Gorkhaland protests casting a shadow over the festivities.
