Manipur remains tense and under curfew in the ongoing crisis over the creation of seven new districts and the economic blockade imposed in the state by the United Naga Council that stopped the passage of goods into the Impahal valley. On 18 December, vehicles on their way to the predominantly Naga Ukhrul district were allegedly attacked by the Meiteis near Imphal. Over 300 persons travelling in the vehicles were rescued by the police.

Here’s a video from that attack where the belongings of the passengers were burnt by the mob and then the bus ferrying them was overturned.
