Around 3:30 am, Central Reserved Police Force killed four militants who attempted a suicide attack on a CRPF camp in Sumbal, Bandipora district in Jammu and Kashmir. Yogesh Kumar, Sub-Inspector, CRPF said that several AK 47 rifles and 40 grenades were seized from these unidentified terrorists who had attacked the open camp, but the CRPF commandos took them down.
After thwarting the heavily armed attackers, CRPF jawans raised "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" slogans. Shesh Paul Vaid, J&K DGP, confirmed the attack through his tweet. He praised the vigilance of CRPF jawans, who successfully handled the situation.
