A heartwarming video of a CRPF jawan feeding a child by the side of a road in Srinagar, where he is currently deployed, has gone viral on social media.

Incidentally, CRPF jawan Iqbal Singh was driving a vehicle in the convoy which was attacked by terrorists in Pulwama in February, killing 40 soldiers. It has been exactly three months since the attack that claimed the lives of at least 40 of his colleagues.

Singh, who has been deployed in Srinagar’s Nawakadal, spotted a child who was hungry while he was having his lunch.

He then gave his food to the child, only to realize that the the child was paralytic and was unable to eat by himself. Iqbal then went on to feed the kid.

The CRPF announced that they will reward Singh with DG’s Disc and Commendtion Certificate for his selfless act.

Singh also reportedly played a crucial role in saving the lives of many CRPF personnel injured in the attack.

Former J&K Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti tweeted the video, saying that the generalisation against the armed forces operating in Kashmir can be “grossly unfair.”

The J&K police tweeted the same video with caption, “We care.”
