Common people from New Delhi, Chennai and Gorakhpur spoke to The Quint and expressed their disappointment in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government’s move to curb black money.
Daily wage workers say how the poor are affected by a drastic move of banning Rs 500 and 1000 notes. Food and medicine sales have been hit as people are left without money or are paying exorbitantly for basic necessities.
