The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the results for class 10 board exams. 4 students have scored 499 out of 500 marks.
Close to 16,38,420 candidates registered for the Class 10 exam conducted at 4,453 centres across India and 78 centres abroad, out of which 14.08 lakh students have passed the exam.
Among all the categories of schools affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) schools recorded the best pass percentage in the Class 10 board exams.
The government schools recorded a pass percentage of 63.97, the lowest among all the categories.
Girls have outperformed boys by 3.35 percent. More than 27,000 students have scored 95 percent and above.
After the class 10 results were declared, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar congratulated the students for their performance and encouraged the students who have got compartment.
