Ahead of the crucial Karnataka assembly elections on 12 May in all the 224 constituencies of the state, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, in an interview to ANI, has attacked the opposition BJP, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President Amit Shah.

Siddaramaiah, who is confident of a clear victory and a comeback for the Congress government in the state, has denied any possibility of a hung assembly. Siddaramaiah has said that he believes his government has fulfilled all the promises made to people of the state and that his party’s good work in the state will pay off.

Siddaramaiah has even taken pot shots at PM Modi for calling him ‘Siddarupaiah’. He has called PM Modi’s remark ‘irresponsible’

Besides his attack on BJP, Siddaramaih’s tweet calling PM Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath as ‘North Indian Imports’ has stirred a controversy. The jibe has definitely not gone down well with the BJP, which called the remark ‘maligning and defaming’.
