At least seven people were killed, and over 30 others injured in a suspected terror attack in London, the Metropolis Police said on Sunday. The police shot dead three of the attackers, who used a car to mow down pedestrians on the London Bridge.

Police said the attackers drove to the city’s Borough market, where eyewitnesses say they saw men stabbing people on the streets. Several diners said the three men stormed into eateries and stabbed people with a “big, red knife”.

The horrific attack drew condemnation from world leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who took to Twitter to extend his condolences.
