Cyclone Titli Hits Odisha & Andhra Pradesh, Over 3 Lakh Evacuated
With wind speeds of 140- 150 kmph, cyclone Titli made landfall at around 6.30 am on Thursday, 11 October.

At least eight people were killed in Andhra Pradesh and one in Odisha after cyclone Titli hit land at around 6:30 am on Thursday, 11 October. The cyclone, tagged as ‘very severe’, made landfall at Gopalpur, Odisha.
With wind speeds of 140-150 kmph, the cyclone also triggered heavy rainfall in at least three districts and caused minor damage to power and communication. Several roads were also damaged.
As part of its pre-cyclone preparedness, the Odisha government had evacuated over three lakh people, accommodating them in 1,112 cyclone shelters.
The Indian Meterological Department has said that the cyclone will weaken gradually.
