Four-time world climbing champion and proud winner of three world cups, 31-year-old Angela Eiter now has another record to her name. The Austrian climber became the first woman to climb the ‘9b’ route of La Planta De Shiva at Villanueva Del Rosario in Spain, when she completed the route in October this year.
9b is the second toughest grade given to the routes per the difficulty level. The 31-year-old is the third person ever to ascend the peak. It took her two years of planning and attempts to complete the route. To practice, she visited Spain seven times between 2015 and 2017.
