Addressing a seminar as the key speaker, the Dalai Lama urged India to let go of feudalistic influences within its society for the uplift of Dalits in Bengaluru on Tuesday.
The seminar on “Social Justice and Dr B R Ambedkar” was organised by the state Social Welfare Department, marking Ambedkar’s 125th birth anniversary.
Calling the lack of ‘a sense of oneness’ among humans as the fundamental cause of problems arising in the world today, the Tibetan spiritual leader reiterated his belief that religious harmony will be achieved. Crediting India as the source of all Tibetan knowledge, he urged the country to find a perfect combination of modern technology and inner peace.
