Newly Born Turtles Go For A Swim

Sea turtles, like salmon, are known to return to the same nesting grounds at which they were born.

This footage of newly hatched turtles making a dash for the ocean will melt your heart.

These adorable reptiles hurtle towards the sea as soon as they emerge from their sandy nest and get into the swim of things, literally. It is almost like the behaviour is programmed into their DNA and they will return to the beach when they’re ready to lay their own eggs in later life.
