‘Nagin Dance’ in Buldhana PWD Office: This Happens Only In India

Locals have given administration 15 days to correct their action, failing which they will assume a ‘tandav’ stance.

In an unusual case in Buldhana district of Vidarbha region in Maharashtra, the locals barged into a meeting of the local Public Works Department (PWD) and performed a ‘nagin dance’ inside the board room.

They did the snake dance to protest against the civic body’s apathy towards the crisis in sanitation and civic amenities.

The locals felt that performing a dance was an appropriate way to ridicule the administration and shake it out of its stubborn slumber.

The locals have given the PWD 15 days to make the required changes.
