A scuffle involving an AAP-backed councillor and BJP members broke out on Thursday at the “joint session” of three BJP-ruled municipal corporations. The session passed a resolution slamming the Kejriwal government for “not giving” funds to the civic bodies.
During the session, NDMC councillor Rakesh Kumar and other AAP members put on their party caps. BJP leaders objected to this, after which a fight broke out.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal slammed BJP for the attack and alleged that Kumar was assaulted and targeted because he is a dalit.
Rakesh Kumar has registered a police complaint against the BJP councillors.
