VK Singh, Minister of State (External Affairs), visited Riyadh in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday to assess the situation of Indians who have been stranded there.

After discussions with the Saudi government, Singh said the situation of Indians in Saudi is not as bad as it seemed.

He said that social media has led to a misleading portrayal of the issue. The problem lay only with one company which is expected to be sorted out soon. The Saudi government has also promised the return of all Indians who wish to come back and jobs for others who wish to shift elsewhere within the Kingdom.
