It’s Goodbye Rio for Indian Shooters Gurpreet Singh & Ayonika Paul

Gurpreet Singh finished 20th and Ayonika Paul finished 43rd in their respective events.

India’s shooter Gurpreet Singh bowed out of the qualifiers of the 10m Air Pistol Event at the Rio Olympics after finishing 20th.

Gurpreet notched 99 in two series but shot below par in the other four series. The 28-year-old registered scores of 94, 96, 93, 99, 99, 95.

Just a few hours into the opening day of the Rio Olympics, Indian shooter Ayonika Paul crashed out in the qualifiers of the women’s 10 metre air rifle event.

Ayonika was placed 43rd with score 407.0 among 53 shooters at the Olympic Shooting Centre.
