This year like every other, some players were surprisingly unsold at the end of the Indian Premier League auction this year. Ishant Sharma was the only player in the Rs 2 crore base price club who wasn’t picked up by any franchise.

Cheteshwar Pujara and South Africa’s leg-spinner Imran Tahir who came in at a base price of Rs 50 lakh also remained unsold.
