Audiences all over the country have been impressed with the plethora of singing talent being showcased on Sony Entertainment Television’s Indian Idol 10. One of India’s biggest singing reality show has been creating waves. The trio of judges – Anu Malik, Neha Kakkar and Vishal Dadlani has been consistently awe-struck with the performances of all the top 13 contestants on the show. We met up with the judges on the sets of the show, Indian Idol 10 who told us what it’s like to judge a singing show.
We have often seen how contestants get nervous when they come for auditions or perform during the show, so when we asked the judges what makes them anxious, they had some interesting things to say. Vishal Dadlani agreed that till date he gets butterflies in his stomach, a few seconds before any performance. Anu Malik agreed that a certain degree of nervousness actually helps him perform better.
But what is the most difficult part of being a judge on a singing reality show? Well, the judges had some hilarious answers. One of the difficulties that they cited was putting on makeup and dressing up. The other important concern that they talked about was trolls. We have all seen Neha Kakkar memes doing the rounds after she was seen getting regularly emotional on different Indian Idol episodes. Neha spoke about how she dealt with it and what she thinks about being trolled. Vishal Dadlani added that the fact that everybody was talking about the show proved that it was a huge success and Anu Malik who has been trolled several times, said that he is so used to it that he doesn’t even care now.
The most entertaining part is when singer and actor Gurdas Maan joined in and made things interesting. And you cannot miss out on the singing game that Anu Malik nailed.
