Gunman Shot Dead in Germany After Taking Hostages
A masked man with a gun in Germany was shot dead after he took hostages.

A masked man who was armed opened fire and took hostages at a cinema complex in Viernheim, near Frankfurt on Thursday. He was later shot dead by the German police.
Sources said that no hostages were injured. However, up to 50 people were injured due to the deployment of tear gas. Peter Beuth, Hessian Interior Minister said that the shooter appeared to be a ‘disturbed man.’
