As she gets set to make her TV debut with a reality show, India’s favourite wrestler Geeta Phogat spoke to The Quint about her experience during the shoot and her plans for the future.

Geeta revealed that the 45-day schedule for the show Khatron Ke Khiladi included shooting for 15-16 hours daily. However, she also spoke about the respect that other contestants, coming from various professions, gave her.

She’s fought the world’s best wrestlers but Geeta said the stunts she had to perform were all about being mentally strong and even admitted that she gave up on certain occasions.

Recently, Geeta and Babita chose to start training with their father Mahavir Phogat instead of the Indian wrestling team’s coaches. The two sisters will be missing the upcoming World Wrestling Championship with an eye on the future.

However, Geeta promised that she would soon return to the mat and win a gold at the National Championship in November this year.
