France airstrikes on Islamic State group targets in Syria intensified on Tuesday evening, in the wake of the Paris attacks on Friday, in which 129 people lost their lives.

According to the French Defence Ministry, a raid of ten Rafale and Mirage 2000 fighter jets bombed two command centres in the group’s de-facto capital Raqqa, as part of Operation Chammal.
