These horrific images show a wounded wild fox after it was brutally shot through the neck with an arrow. The injured animal was found in a shocking state near Dennis Road in East Molesey, Greater London, on December 2, after Wildlife Aid Foundation staff spent an hour tracking it down.

The vixen has since been kept in a rehabilitation pen at the organisation’s base in Leatherhead, Surrey, and was up and eating within minutes of her operation. The recovering fox is set to be released back into the wild once she recovers from her injuries.
