(The following article is being republished from The Quint’s archives in light of the latest attack on a Nigerian national in Delhi’s Malviya Nagar. A video showing the man being mercilessly thrashed for an alleged theft emerged on Monday. The article was originally published on 19 June 2016.)

On May 20, a 23-year-old Congolese was stoned to death in Vasant Kunj over an auto ride. In Hyderabad, the following week, a Nigerian was hit with an iron rod after a spat over parking. And a few days later, seven Africans were attacked in Chhatarpur’s Rajpur Khurd village.

The government and the police may have denied a racist angle, but The Quint’s documentary exposes how racist we are.

Watch our Facebook Live with Ola Jason, a Nigerian actor, for more on Indian racism and the harassment Africans face here.
