On 28 January, US President Donald Trump signed an executive order banning travel from seven countries to the US. The countries include Iraq, Iran, Syria, Sudan, Somalia, Libya and Yemen.
The executive order cites the 9/11 attack right at the beginning as the reason for the ban. It says the attack was caused by the "visa-issuance process".
Of the 19 foreign nationals who led the attack, most were from Saudi Arabia, but strangely it does not appear on the list of banned countries. While thousands of people were left stranded at airports all across the US in the wake of the implementation of this ban, Donald Trump said:
