While the West Indies cricket team is busy playing the Indian team in India, one of their biggest stars Chris Gayle was seen playing poker organised by adda52.com in Mumbai on Wednesday.
Chris Gayle is the brand ambassador of adda52. adda52.com is India's largest online poker and card games site.
Chris Gayle seemed extremely excited about his first ever Diwali Poker party in India and said. “India has so much to offer and you experience so many new things every day. I am thrilled to be a part of this amazing event. It is astonishing as well as liberating to see the pace at which the poker industry is growing in India and I am delighted to be a part of this revolution by being associated with the leaders in the industry. For me, poker is special because it helps me relax mentally.”
The West Indian opener spoke about the rise of poker in India and his love for the game. During the press interaction he was asked how would it be if you played poker with Virat Kohli and Gayle replied saying, “for poker you need to be calm and you need to have a poker face, Virat will break the table”. The audience burst into laughter.
We interacted with Chris Gayle but the interview we did had a catch this time. We asked him multiple questions but all of them were in Hindi. And we did not translate the questions to him until he gave us answers. The questions being very basic like ‘how are you?’ in Hindi, ‘’Tum kaise ho’. And he replied saying, “My name is Chris Gayle!”
Watch the video to know what else we got Chris Gayle to say in Hindi.
Mohit Agarwal, CEO and Co-founder of Adda52 said, “We are India’s biggest online poker community and so we thought why not celebrate Diwali with our huge poker family. We are pleased to have famous celebrities, Adda52 patrons and all the poker lovers with us today. It is such a pleasure to meet everyone under one roof, enjoying the game around the celebratory vibes.”
